Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

If you know of a title or topic that the Library should have in the collection,
please place a Suggest a Purchase request.

The Library offers Interlibrary Loan services for the sole purpose of supporting its patrons with their research needs. These services are intended as a supplement to other research sources.

The Library will borrow research materials, articles, books and audiobooks (when available), excluding mass paperbacks and bestsellers, from our partner libraries.

You will need your library card number (patron ID), an email address and your telephone number to place a request. You will receive a telephone call when your item is ready to be picked up.

The following policies must be accepted in order to complete an Interlibrary Loan request. By selecting one of the Request options below, you are agreeing to these policies:

The Library does not borrow reference, music audio, or videos. All requests must go through the online form (below). Library staff are happy to provide assistance when needed. Patrons may have up to five (5) active requests at one time. Seasonal patrons should clearly indicate the date after which requested material is not needed (included on the on-line request form).
Due to the high volume of requests, only those patrons with email addresses in their patron record, will be notified of unfulfilled or cancelled requests. Requests that are not completely filled out with Library Card Number and pickup location, will be rejected.

Patrons must have a current library card. A user cannot make an Interlibrary Loan request on another users' card.

Renewals of Interlibrary Loan materials may be made at any branch, in person, with the book and its associated paperwork, at least two days prior to the due date.

Interlibrary loan materials must be returned on time inside the library, not in a book drop; repeated overdues affect our relations with lending libraries and may result in the patron's loss of library card privileges. Due dates are clearly indicated on the book. Fines and fees policies apply for overdue materials. All associated paperwork/labels accompanying borrowed material must be retained and returned.
